In the “I am a Sender. Multiples by Joseph Beuys.” exhibition, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich examines the artist’s small-scale, editioned objects that he produced between 1965 and his death in 1986. More than 500 of these multiples were created by Beuys in order to make his art available to a larger audience than he could reach with his unique works of art, performances or lectures. “I am a Sender” describes Beuys’ understanding of his art, which he considers as antennae that transmit his creative concerns into the world. The exhibition is running until January 11, 2015.
