Marni’s 100 Chairs

Who can’t be a fan of Consuelo Castiglioni’s iconic brand Marni? The italian label represents the Italian delicate way of dressing up – without dressing up. Another Italian icon and yearly place to be is the Salone del Mobile in Milan. At the 2012 fair, Marni showed a genuine outdoor collection of 100 chairs, that were manufactured by Columbian ex- prisoners in the context of a rehabilitation project. The earnings of the collection are donated to an organization (ICAM) that supports children of imprisoned mothers. Marni proves, that humanitarian thoughts have been finally deep-seated in the fashion industry. Great work!
