It’s a familiar scenario for every parent: The little ones will play with absolutely anything they can get their hands on. They’ll get into the pots and pans, tinker with the vacuum cleaner, and turn the walls into an artist’s canvas. But young design label NOtoys from Amsterdam has at least come up with a solution for the latter: The owners Diane and Joachim, who are parents themselves, design children’s furniture that can be drawn and painted on. The Any-mal series, consisting of a table and a stool, re-defines the concept of ‘functionality’ and encourages creative expression. In addition to the surfaces for drawing, the individual elements can be used as a table or bench, or cleverly integrated into imaginative children’s play. Whoever needs a bit of inspiration can check the website for creative drawing patterns. Here the old adage applies: There’s no such thing as impossible! Such a creative idea well-deserves our WE LOVE!
