Generation Kplus is the children’s section at the Berlinale Film Festival and shows an exciting program consisting of 13 feature-length and 19 short films. One of these movies is the short film “The Meatballs and Sorry Bullies” by director Johan Hagelbäck, who often portrays human conflicts by using groceries, in this case meatballs: what is it that distinguishes people from funny meatballs? After all, they can sometimes be pretty mean too. Just like the three nasty mince-boys that tease a little ballerina in the school yard. But then one of them gets a prick of conscience.
