The festival season has finally arrived! Here you can get an overview of what’s going on. We’ve chosen three of our favorites to tell you about:
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, commonly known as Coachella, is a music festival held in Indio, California. It was founded in 1999 and takes place annually. In addition to performances by alternative rock, hip hop and electronic bands and artists, the festival also features installations and sculptures. Coachella 2013 was held on two consecutive weekends in April. The same line-up performed on both weekends.
The Melt! is a music festival that was first held in 1997. It takes place annually at the “Ferropolis”, or City of Iron, in the town of Gräfenhainichen. The Melt festival combines electronic music and rock and will be held in 2013 as usual on a weekend in July. James Blake, The Knife, Alt-J, Django Django, Azealia Banks, Woodkid and Owen Pallett are just a few of the 120 acts scheduled.
The Way Out West festival, or WOW for short, is a three-day music festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. The artists come mainly from the rock, electronic and hip hop genres. The WOW 2013 will be held as usual in the second week of August.
